Appalachia Cookie Company Opens First Evening of Business Nov. 25 to High Demand from Nocturnal Noshers
"Nov. 26, 2013. The much-anticipated day is here. Appalachia Cookie Company is up and running as of last night, when so many orders came in for cookie delivery that the bakery had to stay open late to get all of the orders filled.
Conceived by Appalachian State University senior David Holloman two years ago, the late-night cookie delivery business got started delivering cookies and more to nocturnal noshers last night.
And Holloman isn’t stopping at just cookies.
“We are also offering homemade brownies, hot chocolate and milk for delivery.”
Cookie concoctions like oatmeal raisin, Jack Daniel’s maple bacon, snicker-doodle and more flew out the door as delivery drivers rushed to keep up with demand on the first night in business.
“I am so excited to get this up and running. I think it will be a good thing, for me and for the community,” Holloman said.
